Flint begins to clean house in Dallas

The beginning of a new movement in Dallas is upon us. New GM/coach of the Cowboys has been doing his best lately to keep up his philosophy "out with the old, in with the new." "Dallas has been haveing problems scoring, and I am here to put an end to that," said Flint. He has made some trades lately to prove a point to his players. "I want them to know that there job is not secure by any means. I want to see production or I will show them the way out." Dallas has traded away Omar Stoutmire, Anthony Miller, Tony Tolbert, and Nate Newton in the last three days. He has acquired young talent in Grady Jackson, Scott Whittaker, Patt Barnes, and crafty vetern lineman Glenn Parker. "I hope that we have found the guys that we need to secure our future. We are still looking for young talent via free agency and trades." We will all have to wait and see if Flint's philosophy pans out come playoff time.

Free agent signings come down to the wire

The bidding was very competetive on WR Charles Etter with Oak winning out on Etter. He brought a high price, will he be worth it. Wide Receivers Linus Roberts and Sterling Vandam signed with Dallas, while LB Bill Perry signed with Kansas City. Cowboys GM Chad Flint was interviewed and said, "We got two people that we feel will help us in the future. We would have liked to also sign Tuggle and/or Etter, but we just don't have that kind of cash to spend right now. We are very happy with Linus and Sterling and think they will jump right into some playing time."

House Cleaning Continues in Dallas

Chad Flint is at it again. Today he struck a deal with the Carolina Panthers sending QB Troy Aikman to them for QB Shane Matthews, a 3rd rd pick, and a 9th rd pick. "I think this sends a message to the players, Troy was slacking through camp and he is gone. I hope not to have to do this to any other players, but I want them to know who is in charge."

Free Agent signings go down to the wire

Tennesse's GM snuck in some midnight offers to sign WR Bill Kull, and LB Albert Escudaro in what proved to be the most active day in league history. Tennesse also signed LB Cole Fredeirich, and S Web Ayso. Oakland came away with WR Mike Turner, LB Eric Turner and S Toby Williams. Detroit snuck away with the most sought after player in the draft, Teddy Tuggle, along with RB's Ricky Fix and Gerald Williams, and C Garth Mann. San Francisco managed to take WR Ron Brostek while Cowboys owner Chad Flint took C Ned Stout, DE Marcell Lake, and DT Ted Rigdon. " I think these guys are the building of our future," said Flint, red-eyed from a lack of sleep. He has spent some long hours trying to negotiate with players.

Cowboys resign 14 Players

Chad Flint spent long hours at it but managed to assure that 14 of his players will be in Cowboy uniforms for at least 2 to 4 more years. Among them were RB Emmitt Smith, WR Michael Irvin, G Larry Allen, and new QB Shane Matthews. "These guys have worked hard and deserve it," said Flint.

Cowboys resign 16 more players

Dallas has resigned 16 more players to contracts. Among them were LB's Broderick Thomas and Dexter Coakley, P Toby Gowin, and QB Pat Barnes. "We are looking at our future with more promise now," said Flint, "and we have only a few player left to resign."

The season approaches quickly

As the season nears opening teams scramble to get the last few free agents signed. They are looking to fill their rosters and still come in under the cap to get the season rolling. Cowboys owner Chad Flint was overheard saying that he thinks everyone is overreacting to his trading of Troy Aikman for Shane Matthew. "I think that he will be the next Aikman, if it takes him a little while to adjust, then we will allow for that. We do not expect him to go out there and win games by himself, he has Emmitt, Michael, and Darryl for that." Sources say that Johnston is on the way out in Dallas after skipping the second session of a two a day with teammates Bjornson, Cassillas, and Hennings, Flint could not be reached for a comment.

Arizona making major changes

New Arizona Cardinals owner held a team meeting earlier this week after his recent buyout of the former owner. An unnamed source said that Guetzkow walked into the meeting with a big smile on his face. When someone asked him why he was smiling, he responded with, "Because I know that within a month, you'll have quit or i'll have fired you." Guetzkow, extremely disappointed in the teams previous seasons, vows to turn the Cardinals into a competitor. In a statement to the news media, Guetzkow will be releasing or trading over 3/4 of the teams roster, as well as appointing himself as head coach, he will be implenting a new game plan. He was quoted to say, "We are in a re-building phase right now, but I give my comittment to my team and our fans. I'm bringing the checkbook with me and we're gonna push that salary cap to the max."

With only a few glitches the RFL opend game play last night. In the inagural game, Chad's Cowboys held on long enough to win 27 to 25 over Eric's Chiefs

Arizona Owner Keeps to his Word

Just after 2 weeks of owning the Arizona Cardinals, owner Daryl Guetzkow is keeping to his word. He has already turned over the entire Cardinals roster with the exception of two defensive linemen. Already he has also put the check book foreward and laid down big dollars for players like Drew Bledsoe, Bryant Young, Gilbert Brown, and Garrison Hearst. Guetzkow was quoted to say, "We've now laid the foundation for the future of the Arizona Cardinals, I will continue to build this team into a contender."

Dallas will have to pull together

This week three game could definitley test Dallas's ability to play without one of their superstars. "There is no way that Emmitt will play this week, we just cannot risk it." said Chad Flint in his weekly press conference. "We feel that we will be able to win without him, it will not be easy, by we feel that we have a chance, Sherman did an excellent job last week off of the bench, and we will be looking for him to step up again."

Dallas vs. Arizona, momentum for the rest of the season?

This week the Dallas Cowboys meet with the Arizona Cardinals. Both teams are undefeated at 3 and 0 and will be looking to take the early edge for the playoff run. "I think that we are lucky this wasn't a week earlier," said Chad Flint, "Emmitt and Sherman should both be back, and Emmitt is ready to tear up their defense." This should be a great game, and as Flint said, "it is going to come down to who stops who on defense, if we let them run over us, they will whoop our ass. That isn't what we have planned though." Is that a promise? "Not a promise, a challenge to my guys, right now I feel that we are a more balanced team than them, and the defense needs to step it up. If everyone does their part, we have a very good chance of pulling this off," added Flint. Hold on to your helmets boys, this is going to be a dog fight.

The long awaited showdown between Coaches Billy of the Oilers and Eric of the Chiefs has finallly arrived....... From the biginning these two coaches have played mind game and trashed talked , and have been feirce compatrioarts... but now is the show down to see who will be top of the devision.. and who has the bragging rights..... In a interview with coach Billy Mewis, he was quoated saying " The winner of the game will take the BIG GAME.....!!! he aso said he was not satisfied with the way his team played last week..." They F------- sucked was his exact words......But i'm pleased to say my veterns have steped up this week in practise and have showed the desire to take it all... a quote from Coach Tatro March 18th Coach of the Kansas City Chiefs Eric Tatro held a press confrence earlier today. Coach Tatro had this to say " I knew the day would come for us to prove who is the best team in our division. That day has come !" He went on to say " We meet or nemisis the Tennesee Oilers to finally find out who is the best team. The rivalry was on from day one. Me and Coach Mewis have been trash talkin since day one. All I have to say is It's show time baby. Time to separate the men from the boys." This reporter was invited to watch their closed practice today. I can tell you the team is fired up for this game. All practices will be closed to the public till after the game on Thursday. So get your tickets for the Big Game and lets all of us go show Tennessee how much noise KC fans can make for their team.

Dallas falls on hard times

That is the story in Dallas right now. In last weeks win over Denver, QB and possible mvp canidate Shane Matthews, went down with a knee injury. After going in for an MRI, the doctor came out with the bad news. He will be out for 8 weeks with a knee cartilidge injury. "We are right now trying to frantically put together a new gameplan for Wally and Pat. Wally will start this week, but neither will receive Shane's plan, cause they just aren't Shane. We hope that this team will come together and tough it out. We will not be putting Shane on the IR because we hope that he will come back for the playoffs. We will just have to wait and see," said Flint, who looked very upset. In a players only meeting, the doors were closed for nearly two hours today. Afterward, Emmitt Smith had this to say, "We (Michael Irvin and himself) just stood up there and told everyone that we have not come this far to give up. I am ready to do all it takes to win. The players all looked very uncertain about this teams future, we are trying to reasure them." Dallas plays Atlanta this week, we will all be watching to see if the most powerful team in the RFL is going to falter.

Dallas in deep trouble

Dallas now knows that even the loss of one player can spell dissaster. They played their first game without Shane Matthews, and lost their first game of the season. Matthews was the highest rated passer in the league, and his two backups proceeded to go 8 for 26 for 47 yards, and one interception. "We definitley need to find a new QB, because he won't be back till the very end of the regular season, and we want to still be in the playoff hunt come then," said coach Flint.

St Louis Tries to get back into playoff chase

GM/Timmons,Speaks out on up coming game witn Oilers.We will have are hands full this week.But if we could escape with a win it would put us right back in the hunt of things.With addition of QB Collins DE Turnball and LB Lathon it can only make the team better.But this is a game where you have one of the best OL-vs-one of the best DL.Its gonna be a battle Timmons said but we gotta get the pressure on Mcnair and force him to make mistakes if not were gonna be in for a long day.Timmons was also asked about the linebacking crew of the Oilers.there outstanding said Timmons "Cole" who played for Timmons at Michagan.He was a outstanding player then and is a outstanding player now said Timmmons.

Dallas Tries to Get back on the Winning Track

After suffering their first loss last week, Coach Flint was surprisingly optimistic about this weeks game. "I think that we have a good chance of getting things going again. I watched the guys play this week in practice, and they looked to be all business. David Klingner looks ready, and we feel that we are ready to try and get back on our feet. I told the guys that they need to pull this thing together, and not give up. I will be calling the plays this week, last week proved to me that the other QB's aren't ready for that duty. We will see what we can do about our longest losing streak of the season," said Coach Flint
